What makes a GOOD Umbrella?

What makes a GOOD Umbrella?

Much like people, Umbrellas come in all shapes in sizes. It's important to know what Umbrella will be the perfect pairing for you. Confused? Luckily, this guide will answer all your questions!

1. Size

Make sure you match your umbrella with the type of weather and activity you're anticipating. A larger umbrella will hold up better against harsher weather conditions and is better for small groups, but will be heavier and thus not ideal for long walks as it can lead to arm fatigue. For longer walks in the rain, try a standard sized or small (coming soon) umbrella!

2. Fabric

Fabric plays a surprisingly important role in umbrella selection, so knowing your fabrics is important. A plastic umbrella is great at drying off the rain once you put it down as it is heavily water resistant, but will cause much more sound disturbance during your walk which may be discomforting. A nylon fabric solves this issue as it is much more absorbant of water leading to sound reduction, however these umbrellas will take longer to dry off.
